Naul Bodden

Mr. Bodden is the owner of NCB Consulting Ltd., a Caymanian financial consulting company, which he formed after retiring from Ernst & Young in 1999. Mr. Bodden was a Partner of the firm for 19 years.

Mr. Boddenis a graduate of William Carey College and obtained his Certified Public Accountant certificate in 1978, being the first Caymanian to obtain the CPA qualification. Whilst at Ernst & Young, he was the Director of auditing and was responsible for the Bank & Trust sector, mutual fund sector and a significant number of consulting/corporate finance engagements. He is a shareholder and director of a diverse number of local companies and he currently manages in excess of $60 million of diversified assets. He is also one of the major property developers in Cayman and has developed projects totaling over $75 million.

He is a past president of the Cayman Islands Society of Professional Accountants, past Chairman of the Immigration Board and the Cayman Islands National Museum. He has been a guest speaker at conferences in the area of auditing and entrepreneurial services.

 
Mark P. Lewis

Mr. Lewis is a partner of Walkers, Attorneys at Law and joint head of the firm's Investment Funds Group. He specialises in corporate law, particularly hedge funds, private equity funds and asset securitization.

Mr. Lewis graduated from the University of Western Australia in 1981 and was admitted to practice as a barrister and solicitor in Western Australia in December 1982. Prior to joining Walkers he worked with a number of international corporate law firms in Australia, the United Kingdom, Japan, Russia and Eastern Europe.

Mr. Lewis joined Walkers in 1994 after graduating with a Master of Laws degree (LLM) in corporate finance and international taxation from Cambridge University (Jesus College) England in 1993. Mr. Lewis is admitted to practice as a lawyer in Australia, England, Wales and the Cayman Islands.

 
Andreas Ugland

Mr. Ugland was born in 1955 in Grimstad, Norway, where the Ugland family has been involved in international shipping, real estate and agriculture for over 200 years. Having received his graduate degree and MBA from New York University in 1980, Mr. Ugland established a ship management company in the United Kingdom, which was developed into a major shipping operation culminating in a listing on the London Stock Exchange in 1993. Mr. Ugland led the public company, Ugland International Holdings plc, through a period of rapid growth until he and his brother privatised the company 2000 following the sale of the core business of car carrier vessels.

Mr. Ugland has lived in the Cayman Islands for 10 years and is chairman of Queensgate Bank & Trust Company Ltd., a "B" licensed bank which has been in operation since 1990. In addition to his chairmanship of Ugland International Holdings plc, he has also been chairman of Oslo-listed companies Swan Reefer ASA and Ugland Nordic Shipping ASA.

He currently serves on the Board of the American Stock Exchange-listed company, Nordic American Tanker Shipping Limited and is chairman of a number of privately-owned companies in the Cayman Islands, the United States and Europe.

 
A.L. Thompson, Jr.

Al Thompson is President, Chief Executive Office and owner of A.L. Thompson Building Supplies, Ltd., Grand Cayman, a company that has been successful since its inception in 1950.

He attended Draft Tech College of Design in Florida and returned to Grand Cayman where he practised architecture for seven years. During that time, he purchased A.L.Thompson Building Supplies. Under his leadership, the operation was developed into the successful enterprise that it is today.

Al Thompson further expresses his interests and expertise in both residential and property development, with his most recent projects including Silver Palms, a fourteen home project and Alissta Towers, a three story shopping complex.

In addition to his strengths as a businessman, Mr. Thompson gives generously to the community and its youth through his efforts with the Rotary Club of Grand Cayman Central, where he has served as President; the Junior Achievement program; and the Young Caymanian Leadership Awards. He has held positions with the National Gallery, Appeals Tribunal of the government's Planning Commissions, among others.


Derek Strauss

Mr. Strauss is an accomplished businessman with a solid history of directorship of fund management and investment houses. He was educated at Eton College in Windsor, and l'Ecole Superior de Commerce in Neuchatel, where he earned a diploma in French Business Studies. He also served in the Royal Navy as a Lieutenant Commander.
Mr. Strauss enjoyed a fulfilling career at Strauss Turnbull from 1957, where he served in a succession of positions, ranging from the Director (1961 1980), to Chief Executive (1980 1983) and finished off his career there as Chairman of the Board.


Mr. Strauss has served on the board of several companies including: the directorship of 3i London Smaller Companies Investment Trust plc.; Deputy Chairman of SG Securities (London) Ltd.; Chairman, Mineral Oils and Resources Fund, Inc.; and is currently Joint Executive Director of Pan Holdings S.A., Luxembourg and Executive Director of Ballynahinch Holdings, Ireland.

 
Danny Scott

Mr. Scott has been a figurehead in the Insurance industry in the Cayman Islands for 20 years. He brings to the Board of Directors the experience required in the insurance and reinsurance business for the diverse and complicated needs of such a project.

Mr. Scott has been the CEO of Cayman General Insurance Company since 1984. While at the helm, Cayman General Insurance has developed from a “limited capital base and a dream” to the premier insurance company on the island, with an A.M. Best “A” rating.

Mr. Scott is currently the first President of the Cayman Islands Insurance Association, which is a new conglomeration of all relative insurance umbrellas, with the exception of captives. He is also the Chairman of the Board of Governors at the Cayman Islands Community College and is in directorship of five other local companies.
